Is porcelain safe for little ones?

Yes. Each piece is designed for food contact and to accompany first meals with complete peace of mind: porcelain fired at high temperature, coated with glazes free of lead and cadmium. Every model is tested in an independent laboratory, in line with French regulations on materials intended for contact with food (DGCCRF control). Beautiful objects, but safe first.

Are they dishwasher and microwave safe?

Plain pieces are well suited to everyday use. Pieces with a touch of gold, however, are not microwave safe (gold is a metal) and should be hand-washed to preserve their shine.

And the touch of gold — is it safe?

Real gold is applied and then fired according to the rules of the craft, and always placed so that it never comes into contact with food — on the outside of the piece or its details, never on the surfaces that touch the mouth or food. To preserve its shine, simply avoid the microwave and the dishwasher. That's why the touch of gold is reserved for pieces made to be kept — music boxes and pieces to give — rather than everyday tableware.

Isn't porcelain too fragile for a child?

Fired at a very high temperature, it is sturdier than it looks, and designed to last and be passed on. It remains a precious object: for the youngest, it goes hand in hand with a watchful eye — like a first treasure.

How do I care for my pieces?

A gentle wash is enough. Avoid sudden thermal shocks — for example pouring a boiling liquid into a piece straight from the fridge — and, for gilded pieces, favour hand-washing.

Can the pieces be personalised?

Yes: first name, date of birth, little details that turn a gift into a unique keepsake. The personalisable models will be unveiled at launch, in summer 2027.

How does ordering work?

Each piece is handmade, in small batches and often made to order — so it takes a little patience, the time of shaping and firing. Orders will open at launch, in summer 2027. In the meantime, the Shiny Club lets you be among the first to know.

Do you ship?

Yes: delivery in France and across Europe. For international, it's possible on request — write to us and we'll find the best solution together.
